Ajijola et al. [75] highlighted the possibly detrimental role of NPY in congestive heart failure, as they showed that elevated coronary sinus NPY levels (NPY ≥ 130 pg/mL) were significantly associated with a significantly increased risk in the composite endpoint of death, heart transplantation or implantation of a ventricular assist device [75]. Here, NPY is linked to congestive heart failure.
