We specifically used anesthetic sevoflurane as a clinically relevant tool to investigate (1) whether there were interactions and dependency of Tau phosphorylation, IL-6 elevation and mitochondrial dysfunction following sevoflurane anesthesia in young mice, and (2) whether such interactions could be one of the underlying mechanisms by which Tau phosphorylation is associated with synaptic loss and cognitive impairment in young mice. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Cognitive impairment.
