Our data suggested that there were no significant increments of the serum levels of tissue-specific enzymes including alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), myeloperoxidase (MPO), creatinine, and troponin-1 (Tn-1) in the USMB-shMincle-treated mice compared to the untreated and EV controls (Figures 5B–5G and S3), highlighting that USMB-shMincle is a safe gene therapy for cancer treatment. Here, MPO is linked to cancer.
