ROC curve analyses showed that the addition of preoperative plasma levels of endoglin to a reference model comprising age, sex, and clinical tumor stage improved the discriminatory ability for the prediction of lymph node metastasis (10%, p < 0.001), ≥pT3 disease (5%, p < 0.001), and any NOCD (5.8%, p < 0.001). Here, ENG is linked to metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
