The discovery that our KRASG12V fly leukemia model can survive to adult stage at 18°C, but not at 25°C (owing to Gal4 being more stable at 25°C and hence driving higher levels of KRASG12V expression), allowed us to design a high-throughput genetic screen to identify the genes that, when silenced in the hemocytes, attenuate the adult lethality of the KRASG12V fly leukemia model at 25°C (Fig. 4A). The gene discussed is LGALS4; the disease is leukemia.
