This study aimed to investigate the effect of caloric restriction (low calorie versus isocaloric diet) and n-3 PUFA supplement intake (n-3 PUFA versus placebo) lasting for three months on osteogenic markers ((carboxylated osteocalcin (Gla-OC) and procollagen I N-terminal propeptide (PINP)) as well as a bone resorption marker (C-terminal telopeptide of type I collagen (CTX-I)) in blood of middle-aged adults with abdominal obesity. This evidence concerns the gene BGLAP and Abdominal obesity.
