RPS6KA5 and leiomyoma: Low concentrations of genistein have also been shown, in human leiomyoma cells, to activate MAPKp44/42, MSK1, and increase phosphorylation of histone H3 at serine10 (H3S10ph) [157]; these effects lead to increased cell proliferation, further demonstrating that genistein can even have epigenetic effects on human leiomyoma cells.
