As in other cases, RLIM levels are regulated by autoubiquitination and by other E3 ligases such as SiAH1/2 and TRIM28 [102,108,109] TRIM28 can be overexpressed in lung cancer, which translates to a reduction in the RLIM levels and, as a consequence, in an increased degradation of p53 mediated by MDM2 [117]. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and lung carcinoma.
