IFNG and digestive system infectious disorder: With reference to the in vivo model of gastrointestinal infection by Salmonella Typhimurium, it was observed that treatment with Pin2[G] (2.5 mg/kg) reduces the bacterial load and promotes inflammation by stimulating the release of IL-6 and IL-12p70, but diminishing the release of IFN-γ; thus far it is unknown if these effects are related between them.
