To test the hypothesis that the E236K variant altered Kv1.2 function and caused epilepsy and ataxia in the affected patient, we expressed equal amount of WT (7 μg) or E236K (7 μg) cDNAs alone or in 1:1 ratio (3.5 + 3.5 μg) in HEK 293 cells. Here, KCNA2 is linked to epilepsy.
