The results showed that CMC detection performed on I–III stage melanoma patients, based on the analysis of melanocytic transcripts (TYR, MELAN-A/MART-1, MAGE-3, PMEL) in the blood or PBMC fraction, presented great variation, with CMC outcome ranging from 13.8% [115] to 80.5% [116], thus not always being prognostically significant. This evidence concerns the gene MLANA and melanoma.
