The nucleocytoplasmic dysregulation in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) was investigated by Kojima K. at al.; first of all, they demonstrated that elevated XPO1 levels are associated with poor prognosis and they explained the important role of mutated nucleophosmin (NPM1) and p53 in leukemogenesis. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and acute myeloid leukemia.
