Similar to EGFR, some of these typical genes have been used in developing novel drugs against non-small cell lung cancer, such as alpelisib targeting PIK3CCA, MK-2206 targeting AKT, and AZD6244 targeting MEK, confirming a complicated genetic background for the initiation and progression of non-small cell lung cancer.
