The studies that showed a direct relationship between the stage of IHD and elevated levels of cardiac troponins in the serum and oral fluid [38,39], as well as the presence of a significant correlation between hs-cTnT and the intensity of physical activity [23], suggests that the determination of troponins using high-sensitivity techniques can more accurately and reliably detect concealed myocardial ischemia than stress echocardiography and stress ECG or become an important additional criterion for the diagnosis and stratification of IHD after exercise tests. This evidence concerns the gene TNNT2 and myocardial ischemia.
