The overall survival rates in the hypermethylation and the hypomethylation groups showed that the hypermethylation of SLC1A5, SLC3A2, and SLC7A11 was a low-risk factor for survival in most of the cancer types; however, hypermethylation was identified as a high-risk factor for survival for SLC7A5 in LGG, GLS in KIRC, and GLS2 in LAML and PCPG (Figure 4C,D). The gene discussed is SLC3A2; the disease is cancer.
