Recently, increased levels of matrix-metalloproteinase-9, tenascin-C, and thioredoxin, and decreased levels of a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with a thrombospondin motif repeats 13 (ADAMTS13) and gelsolin have been identified as independent predictors of unfavorable outcome in ischemic stroke patients after successful recanalization by EVT [41].
