Interestingly, gut dysbiosis was found in TLR7-dependent mouse models of SLE, and bacterial translocation of Lactobacillus reuteri to secondary lymphoid tissue and liver can drive autoimmunity, which was improved with dietary resistant starch by suppressing the pathological levels of L. reuteri and its translocation, through short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) [22]. The gene discussed is TLR7; the disease is Autoimmunity.
