According to IHC results, all BPDCN cases were negative for the tyrosine hydroxylase enzyme responsible for dopamine biosynthesis [33], while more than half BPDCN cases (9/15) were positive for the vesicular transporter of acetylcholine that is the mediator of acetylcholine storage/release and the rate-limiting factor of its cellular neurotransmission (Figure 4) [37].
