ULK1 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia: Not only did the inhibition of the AMPK/ULK1 pathway induce MOMP, LMP, phosphatidylserine exposure, and caspase-dependent cell death in these CLL cells, but it was also selectively cytotoxic toward malignant B lymphocytes, while marginally affecting the viability of PBMCs of healthy donors.
