CRP and sexually transmitted disease: The mortality rate (14.0% vs. 31.0%, p = 0.03), duration of respiratory support (12.5 d [5.7–17.2] vs. 4 d [0–18], p = 0.03), change in C-reactive protein levels (12 mg/L [6–96] vs. 72 mg/L [6–100], p = 0.01), and acute kidney injury rate (6.0% vs. 23.5%, p = 0.02) were significantly lower in the EI group than those in the STI group.
