While ICU patients with arterial hypertension (AH) showed a trend of having higher serum PLIN2 levels compared to their counterparts without AH (3.1 (1.1–39.3) μg/dL vs. 4 (4.8–48.3) μg/dL, p = 0.072; Figure 2B), patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) showed no significant difference in PLIN2 concentrations compared to patients without CAD (3.5 (0.48–48.3) μg/dL vs. 4.02 (1.69–21.3) μg/dL, p = 0.567; Figure 2C). Here, PLIN2 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
