METAP2 and neoplasm: It covalently binds and inhibits methionine aminopeptidase type 2 (MetAP2) to hinder endothelial cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and tumor-induced neovascularization [27] and has been used in conjunction with anti-tumor therapy such as 5-fluorouracil and the dendritic cell tumor vaccine to inhibit tumor and prevent metastasis [28].
