IL33 is a member of the IL1 family of cytokines and, similar to TSLP, has been implicated in various atopic diseases including atopic dermatitis, eosinophilic esophagitis, and asthma by genome-wide association studies as well as by studies demonstrating increased expression of IL33 in affected tissues [45,46,64,74,75,76]. The gene discussed is IL33; the disease is eosinophilic esophagitis.
