Urine TIMP-1 concentration 48 h after the operation was significantly lower in patients with AKI, regarding both the absolute values (M = 1.61 (0.55–2.26) ng/mL vs. 3.3 (1.68–5.92) ng/mL in the control group, p = 0.007) and the percentage of increase from the initial value (M = 145.05 (64.91–211.91)% vs. 268.81 (111.43–733.73)% in the control group, p = 0.030). The gene discussed is TIMP1; the disease is acute kidney injury.
