Nationally representative survey data indicate that only 36% of US adults with CKD receive a statin14 and 25% to 50% receive ACEi or ARB therapy.15,16 Among Medicare patients older than 65 years with diagnosed CKD, 40% to 50% had urine albumin testing in accordance with guideline recommendations.1 The objective of this study was to evaluate trends in CKD care delivery by race and ethnicity in a large population of US adults with CKD (defined using laboratory criteria) who are actively engaged in medical care.
