Interestingly, FGD5-AS1-interfered cells presented a decrease in the percentage of cells in the G2/M phase (P<0.01), but Ct infection did not affect the percentage of cells in the G2/M phase (32.1 vs 30.9%) (P>0.05), indicating that FGD5-AS1 participated in the promotion of DNA replication during Ct infection. This evidence concerns the gene FGD5 and infection.
