CASP3 and adenocarcinoma: We showed for the first time that the 2-henicosyl-5,7-dihydroxy-4H-chromen-4-one (termed the chromone through the text) isolated from Bomarea setacea, induces death in two different adenocarcinoma cells, involving selective growth inhibition, antiproliferative and proapoptotic effect, evidenced by the increase of caspase 3, with an important arrest in G2/M and the presence of cells in subG0/G1 phase in the metastatic derivative SW620.
