Hyperprolactinemia is a high level of serum prolactin, which can interfere with the periodic release of GnRH, the elimination of gonadotropin pulsed secretion, so that the release of LH and FSH decreased, eventually leading to hypogonadism (testosterone synthesis and secretion, spermatogenic dysfunction) (37). The gene discussed is GNRH1; the disease is hyperprolactinemia.
