Contrastingly, the other 7 RNAs (VCAN, TIMP1, IGF1, SLIT2, TGFBI, CTSC, VTN) had up-regulated expression of the RNAs in PAFs but high expression of the human orthologues in breast cancers was associated with better prognosis, or down-regulated in PAFs and low expression in breast cancers was associated with better prognosis (Additional files 11: Figures S8, Additional files 12: Figure S9). This evidence concerns the gene SLIT2 and breast carcinoma.
