We then analyzed the expression of IL-17 in the lung tissues of COVID-19 patients (Supplementary Fig. 2c), and the results showed that the composition of IL-17+ cells and the intensity of IL-17 were consistent with that of infected hCD147 mice at 6 d.p.i. (Supplementary Fig. 2d, e), which further reflects that hCD147 mice well match the characteristics of COVID-19 patients, and CD147 might contribute to cytokine storm of COVID-19. Here, IL17A is linked to COVID-19.
