Analysis of the single staining of serial paraffin-embedded sections showed that in the AD cases with the coexistence of IgE-bearing IDECs and HDM antigens in the aforementioned analysis, infiltrating CD4+ T cells coexisting with IgE+ CD11c+ IDECs were present in the central area of the spongiosis in association with the infiltration of CD8+ T cells and CD207+ LC cells in the surroundings (Figure 4).
