In the control cases with non-eczematous inflammatory skin disorders and serum hyper-IgE, infiltration of only a small number of double-positive IgE+ CD11c+ cells and IgE+ CD206+ cells in the epidermis (i.e., IgE-bearing IDECs) and double-positive IgE+ CD11c+ cells in the upper dermis (i.e., IgE-bearing dermal inflammatory DCs) was seen. Here, IGHE is linked to inflammatory skin disease.
