In AD cases and the control cases with non-eczematous inflammatory skin disorders, no statistically significant difference was found in mean value ± standard deviation of serum total IgE (AD cases: 33,822.8 ± 45,077.2 IU/mL, control cases: 27,982.2 ± 49,632.9 IU/mL; p = 0.835). This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and Alzheimer disease.
