HIF1A and glioblastoma: Furthermore, HIF1A-AS2 directly binds to insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA binding protein 2 (IGF2BP2)/ATP-dependent RNA helicase A (DHX9) proteins, resulting in increased expression of HMGA1, formation of glioblastoma stem-like cells, and adaptation to hypoxia in the tumor microenvironment (58).
