Subsequent multivariate Cox regression analysis adjusting for the traditional risk factors showed that a higher Lactobacillus level (>7.32 log10 copies/g) (aHR = 0.239; 95% CI: 0.093–0.617; p < 0.05) was significantly associated with a decreased risk of an all-cause death, while age above 65 years old (aHR = 1.922; 95% CI: 1.200–3.079; p < 0.05), history of MI (aHR = 5.392; 95% CI: 1.457–19.949; p < 0.05), and BNP level (aHR = 1.000; 95% CI: 1.000–1.000; p < 0.05) were significantly associated with an increased risk of an all-cause death (Figure 3A).
