Some genes have been reported to be involved in the occurrence and development of colon cancer: DPEP1 promotes the proliferation of colon cancer cells via DPEP1/MYC feedback loop regulation,19 ARID3A promotes the development of colorectal cancer by upregulating AURKA,28 CDX2 inhibits the proliferation and tumor formation of colon cancer cells by transactivation of AXIN2 expression,29 LY6G6D significantly overexpressed (around 15‐fold) in CRC when compared with its relatively low expression in other human solid tumors.30 This evidence concerns the gene MYC and colorectal carcinoma.
