CTNNB1 and hepatocellular carcinoma: We detected gene mutations shown to be important carcinogenic gene drivers in HCC that have been well verified in the HCC studies, namely, CTNNB1, TP53, NRAS, BRAF, and NFE2L2 [9, 14, 22, 23], which were tested in ctDNA tissues by applying sequencing techniques that utilize comparison‐matched PBMC DNA but not matched HCC DNA to call gene alterations with high accuracy, indicating the applications of this technique in the clinical practice, in which HCC tissue is seldom obtained [24].
