Induction of IIRs by infection with herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) visibly increased the speed of fluorescence recovery (Figure 2A), reducing the t1⁄2 for STING in the NE by ∼1⁄3 from 11.1 to 6.7 s while the t1⁄2 of control NET55 was unaffected (Figures 2B and 2C).
