CXCL16 and CXCR6 were recently observed to be related to various inflammatory diseases, such as glomerulonephritis (Garcia et al., 2007), pulmonary diseases (Zuo et al., 2019), atherosclerosis (Aslanian and Charo, 2006), coronary artery disease (Zhou et al., 2016), rheumatoid arthritis (van Lieshout et al., 2009) and many inflammation-related cancers (Kee et al., 2014; Singh et al., 2016; Chung et al., 2017). Here, CXCR6 is linked to glomerulonephritis.
