Interestingly, our data confirmed that recipients with low MAIT cells in infused grafts had a higher abundance of Enterococcus in the early posttransplant period, and it was previously proven that the dominance of Enterococcus (low lactase and low butyrate) in the early posttransplant period (days 0 to +21) is related to GVHD (9, 10, 29). The gene discussed is LCT; the disease is graft versus host disease.
