ACE2 and COVID-19: Network pharmacology research found that it had multiple effective compounds, like formononetin, stigmasterol, β-quebrachol, icaritin, etc., which regulated multiple pathways, such as PTGS2, HSP90AB1, HSP90AA1, PTGS1, through binding to SARS-CoV-2 3C-like protease (3CLpro) and ACE2, resulting in the control of COVID-19 (Gong et al., 2020).
