ADARB1 and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: Aberrant editing has been found in a variety of neurological diseases including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and autism spectrum disorder (Moore et al., 2019, Tran et al., 2019) and investigating the contributions of different ADAR2 RNA isoforms using PMOs to manipulate alternative splicing would allow us to understand the regulatory mechanisms of RNA editing.
