The prevalence of OTOF mutations has been reported to be 1.4–3.2% of non-syndromic hearing loss cases (Rodríguez-Ballesteros et al. 2008; Choi et al. 2009; Wang et al. 2010a; Mahdieh et al. 2012) and 1.72% in Japan (Iwasa et al. 2019). Here, OTOF is linked to hearing loss disorder.
