As a result of the oral administration of 0.5 mg of freeze-dried E. rectale to BD mice (once daily, 10 consecutive days), the frequency of CD83+ cells in BD mice was significantly reduced compared to untreated BD mice (18.62 ± 6.17% vs. 40.72 ± 8.91%, p = 0.01) (Figure 8A).
