IL6 and infection: Those AdV-hACE2 mice treated with anti-Ifnar1 monoclonal antibody had relatively high levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines such as IL-6, CCL2, CCL5, CXCL10, CXCL11, IFN-λ, and IFN-β in lung, indicating that inhibiting type I IFN signaling can aggravate inflammation and promote infection.
