Among these factors, age was the strongest predictor of sarcopenia [age group over 70 years old, odds ratio (OR), 7.20; 95% confidence intervals (CIs), 2.09–24.79, P = 0.002] after adjusting for sex, BMI, diabetes, hypertension, eGFR, serum albumin level, and hemoglobin (Supplementary Information Table S2).
