Two phase II trials have demonstrated the promising antitumor activity and acceptable safety profile of pyrotinib monotherapy in patients with previously treated, HER2-mutant advanced NSCLC, with the ORR of 53% (8/15) and 30% (18/60), and median PFS of 6.4 and 6.9 months, respectively [15, 16]. The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
