In lung cancer tissues, the cancer-associated region long noncoding RNA 5 (CARLo5)4, Differentiation antagonizing non-protein coding RNA (DANCR)5, 6, antisense non-coding RNA in the INK4 locus (ANRIL)7, lncRNA H198, and colon cancer-associated transcript 2 (CCAT2)9, were found to be upregulated; while the BRAF-activated non-coding RNA (BANCR)10, maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3)11, and taurine upregulated gene1 (TUG1)12 were shown to be downregulated. The gene discussed is CCAT2; the disease is cancer.
