Because the micronuclei and cGAS-STING pathway are involved in the neurodegeneration such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)21,32,33, the micronuclei-cGAS-STING pathway is a potential candidate linked to these disorders.
