LEPR and Hyperglycemia: We found that male mice with myeloid cell-specific Lepr reconstitution have diminished hyperglycemia in an age-dependent manner as well as better glucose tolerance compared to mice with whole-body transcriptional blockade of Lepr. Female mice with myeloid cell-specific Lepr reconstitution did not have ameliorated glucose metabolism, but there was a trend towards reduced hyperglycemia after a prolonged (16 h) fast.
