Interestingly, a low cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) level of hypocretin-1, the wake-promoting neuropeptide typically reduced in patients with narcolepsy type 1, has been detected in a CP patient with symptomatic narcolepsy (sleep latency < 2 min and 3 SOREMPs at the MSLT; no cataplexy). This evidence concerns the gene ANKFN1 and Cataplexy.
