Further Western blot analyses showed that control, CD45-depleted, and -overexpressing cells had a similar DNA damage content (gamma-H2AX) immediately after radiation exposure; however, after 24 hours, extent of DNA damage was more noticeably reduced in CD45-overexpressing cells than in control cells but remained high in CD45-depleted cells, suggesting that high CD45 expression enhances the therapy-resistant phenotype of CRC cells (Figure S3L). The gene discussed is PTPRC; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
